Choose between a Ghana invoice and a PAYE calculation

Checking a price or supplier payment

The VAT tool is intended for a transaction price and separates the tax components represented by its selected scenario. Start by establishing whether the amount includes tax, then check the component breakdown. Where withholding applies, keep the invoice total and the amount paid to the supplier distinct. A withheld amount does not mean the goods or services had a lower selling price. Read the guide before using a combined percentage on a mixed invoice.

Checking salary and PAYE

For earnings, use the income-tax tool instead of applying the VAT percentage to a salary. Its inputs distinguish basic pay, allowances, benefits and deductions, with options for the period and taxpayer scenario. Match the period of every amount you enter: annual pay and a monthly deduction should not be combined without conversion. Review which deductions affect chargeable income and which components change cash received before comparing the estimated take-home pay.

When a business has both kinds of calculation

A business may need to check a supplier invoice and a payroll amount on the same day, but these tools answer separate questions. Keep the source documents, periods and tax components separate instead of adding their results into an unexplained total. Each calculator links to its own references and explains its limits. An estimate does not file a return, validate a registration or confirm entitlement to relief.
